At Haaglanden Clinics, we mainly provide relatively simple care in both domains. If more complex care is required, our medical specialist will refer your patient to HMC for further treatment. Our specialists work in both locations.

Yes, you can. You can decide who to refer your patients to at your own discretion. Stichting Haaglanden Clnics works with HMC to shorten waiting times in the area. As such, your patient will always receive rapid and effective treatment, either at HMC or at Stichting Haaglanden Clinics.

Yes, for complex care, Stichting Haaglanden Clinics will refer your patient to HMC.

HMC’s Oral Surgeons and ENT specialists/Neurologists/Pulmonologists also work at Haaglanden Clinics.

For relatively simple care, patients can be seen at Stichting Haaglanden Clinics. If the medical specialist feels that the care needed is highly complex, excellent follow-up care is available at HMC.

For relatively simple care, patients can now be seen at HMC as well as at Stichting Haaglanden Clinics. As a result, waiting times are now shorter.

It is paramount to both HMC and Stichting Haaglanden Clinics to provide high-quality care that meets all applicable standards and guidelines. We conduct regular internal and external reviews and make improvements where necessary.

It is up to you to decide where to refer your patient. You can do so in writing or via Zorgdomein.

About Stichting Haaglanden Clinics

Stichting Haaglanden Clinics is a new independent treatment centre (‘Zelfstandig Behandelcentrum’, or ZBC, in Dutch) in The Hague, specialising in oral surgery and sleep medicine. We are fully licensed by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and are ZKN certified. All our treatments are covered by basic insurance.

Stichting Haaglanden Clinics is owned by the specialists who work there, having set up and funded SHC themselves.

Stichting Haaglanden Clinics has a licence from the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport to provide care. The care provided by Stichting Haaglanden Clinics is covered by basic insurance. Stichting Haaglanden Clinics exclusively provides low-complexity care in the fields of oral surgery and sleep medicine.

All oral surgery and sleep therapy provided by Haaglanden Clinics is covered by basic insurance. Stichting Haaglanden Clinics has contracts with almost all health insurers.

Yes, all rates are set by the government, but health insurers usually pay out less to Haaglanden Clinics. Stichting Haaglanden Clinics will always be cheaper than a hospital, which allows us to charge lower rates. Your patient will not notice this because low-complexity treatments are identical in HMC and Stichting Haaglanden Clinics and are covered by basic insurance.
