Mandibular Repositioning Device (MRD)

One way to treat sleep apnea or snoring is wearing an MRD, or Mandibular Repositioning Device. This device is popularly known as an anti-snoring mouthguard, because it alleviates snoring problems very effectively.

CPAP device

Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) is another way to treat OSAS, or Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome. Using a mask connected to a device, air is blown into your pharynx while you’re asleep.

Oral surgery - bimaxillary osteotomy

In exceptional cases, relocating the lower and/or upper jaw may be a solution. These procedures are performed by Haaglanden Medical Centre’s oral surgeon.
